Scorching Sun Effect

Creating scorching sun effect
Open an image in which there is some sky area visible.
From filter menu select blur>>gaussian blur.
Apply settings as shown.
Change the layer mode to linear dodge.
From filter menu select render>>lens flare.
Use settings as shown.

Fire on a Torch Animation

Creating fire animation on a torch
Start by opening an image of a torch.
Knock out the arm from background using your favourite cutout method.
Using lasso tool select fire from torch.
Select liquify from filter menu.
Select forward warp tool and drag on fire in a random manner.
Duplicate the fire layer twice and on these two layers apply liquify filter similarly to create random shaped flame.
Open animation window. Hide the two duplicate fire layers for first frame.
Duplicate first frame. For the second frame, hide first & third fire layers and unhide second layer.
Similarly duplicate to create third frame and for this frame hide first two fire layers and unhide third layer.
Press play button to get the preview. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift to export an optimized gif animation.

Creating a Waterfall

Creating a Waterfall
Start by opening an image of a girl. We’ll create a waterfall out of nothing.
Create a new layer and press Q to enable quick masking. Apply filter>>render>>fibers.
Use settings as shown.
Press Q to disable quick masking.
Create a sky blue to white gradient.
Apply this gradient to the selection.
Press Ctrl+T . Right click and select distort.
Adjust nodes to get the following shape.
Press Ctrl+T . Right click and select warp
Adjust nodes to get the following shape.
Press Ctrl+F to apply the previous fiber effect again.
Change layer mode to linear dodge.
